“Living life with unwavering faith, as a lotus does, ensures the most beautiful revival.”Buddhist Proverb
Welcome! This is a sacred space for lives and hearts shattered by betrayal. It is my hope that you will find your pathway to healing here. My journey began when I discovered my ex-husband’s multiple affairs after 38 years of marriage. At that time, I did not believe healing was possible for me, even after months and months of therapy. I was a little better, but I was starting to believe that I would never be a whole person again. I had learned to cope with the trauma and the triggers. But that was not enough for me, I wanted more! I wanted to come out of this having my life and my experiences really mean something! I wanted to know I had not gone through this for nothing. That is how I felt, like nothing. I had been shattered into a million little pieces. I didn’t even feel like myself anymore! You might be in a similar space, and that is ok! I am here to give you hope that there is real healing after betrayal. I’m not going to lie to you…it is a lot of very hard, exasperating work! Can I be perfectly honest? If you are not ready and willing to do the hard work of healing, possibly even change your lifestyle, then this may not be your pathway.
Why the Lotus Flower?
The Lotus Flower grows in the deep mud, far away from the sun. But, sooner or later, the Lotus reaches the light becoming the most beautiful flower ever.
The Lotus flower is regarded in many different cultures, especially in eastern religions, as a symbol of purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration and rebirth. Its characteristics are a perfect analogy for the human condition: even when its roots are in the dirtiest waters, the Lotus produces the most beautiful flower.
